New England Distillery
The New England Distilling Company was also owned and operated by Henry Edgar Pogue III. The distillery was located on the railroad in Covington, KY and had an 8,000 barrel storage capacity. The facility was principally obligated with the production of aged rum used for flavoring of tobacco products. The most prominent brand fro retail sale was Red Star Rum. At one time, H.E. Pogue III owned 4 distilleries; The H.E. Pogue Distillery in Maysville, The New England Distilling Co., in Covington, The Old Lexington Club Distillery in Lexington, and The Greendale Distillery in Greendale, Indiana.
